Situated in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, Raj of India is a restaurant that seeks to provide a culinary home for our customers. Anyone who enjoys good food in a relaxed environment will find us most accommodating.
Established in 1990, Raj of India is renowned for its exceptional quality of service. We treat our customers as friends and enjoy an unparalleled relationship with our regulars. We use the finest of ingredients to enhance our authentic dishes, happily making amendments to tickle everyone’s taste buds. We also regularly introduce new dishes to provide our customers with an array of Indian cuisine they won’t have experienced before.
We are immensely proud to have our chef recognised as one of the top 20 chefs in the country at the Curry Life Chef Awards 2012; an awards ceremony held at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London. It was a brilliant night we enjoyed with some of our regular customers - an indication of the close friendships we’ve established.
We seat up to 60 customers at any one time with many choosing to celebrate special events, such as birthdays and anniversaries with us. We also host monthly music nights with impersonators including Elvis, Freddie Mercury and ABBA - and these always go down a treat!
Whether you choose to eat in or take away, we will do our utmost to ensure that you enjoy your night. We will leave you with arguably our highest accolade - customer feedback stating the Raj of India has the “best curry anywhere”.
